WHAT TO EXPECT

Level 1 - This 4-week course is for those who are looking to get out on the water the right way. You’ll gain confidence standing up while learning fundamental paddling skills and building your abilities to stop, turn, and paddle efficiently. Additionally you’ll understand how to read the water, safety considerations, and the overall do’s/do not’s of paddling in Lake Michigan. There’s nothing to fret about, as we’ll help you overcome any fear or mental barriers, and if you do fall in, we teach the safe way to do it! All in a fun group environment. If you are not calling yourself a SUP Athlete yet, you will after this class!

Level 2 (pre-requisite: Ability to stand up and paddle for 1 hour and in slighlty choppy water. Ability to perform basic turns.) - Building off your skills from Level 1, this camp is designed to take things to the next level. It means developing a more advanced stroke technique, improving upon your endurance and speed, and paddling farther distances, in sometimes rougher water conditions. This camp even touches on SUP Racing basics and is a great way to continue building up your SUP community.

Last but not least, Kirsten takes lots of photos that she will get to you the same day so you can post about your amazing time on the water!
